Leon van Bokhorst does a modular piece inspired by the Modulab Big Bang theme. To his ever-changing modular setup, he added an iPad and cassette player loaded with seductive choral singing. We dive into atmospheric exploration, more rhythmic evolvement than we’re used hearing from his sets.
This time Leon starts unpatched. There’s a clear need to explore the known and a maybe little unknown in the process of creation. You can sense the huge influence of tape music and modern jazz in his layering.
And so he shapes a perpetual motion around the concept of the Big Bang. It starts and dies again, within the blink of an eye.
Leon van Bokhorst
Sound artist, musician, podcaster, and DIY electronics enthousiast Leon van Bokhorst never started his musical career. It was always there somehow. Sound is to this day the thing he loves and fears the most.
You’ll find his in his natural habitat in a small room closed off from the outside world. Tinkering with his silly little audible and sensory experiments.
